Marie Anne Mergen-Thill celebrated her 100th birthday at CIPA

At the CIPA in Mamer, Marie Anne Mergen-Thill, known as Maria, celebrated her 100th birthday in the company of friends and family and the Minister for the Family, Max Hahn.

The birthday girl, who was born on the 16th of December 1923, hails from Hautcharage and has been living at the CIPA in Mamer since 2015.

She was visibly touched when the Minister for the Family presented her, on behalf of the Grand Duke, not only with the Order of Merit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, but also with a gift basket filled with regional products and beautiful flowers.

She was also delighted to receive many good wishes from guests, including Mayor Luc Feller as well as Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette.
