Communal school transport
The school transportation service is available exclusively to children enrolled in preschool or elementary school in the municipality. To use school transportation, you must first register with the municipal school department.
On the Pédibus route, the “Schoulwee” logo is visible on the ground, and the school bus logo is displayed at bus stops.
The Pedibus
The Walking Bus provides schoolchildren with an escort on their walk to school. The children wait for the Walking Bus at the agreed-upon meeting point (stop) to walk with it to school. Along the route, the Walking Bus picks up children at various stops who join the group. The “Schoulwee” logo is marked on the ground along the Walking Bus route.
School buses
Our school buses take students to school and bring them back home at set times. The different routes are clearly marked with pictures of animals. This ensures there is no confusion at the bus stops, and the risk of getting on the wrong bus is minimal. An adult accompanies students on all bus trips.
Communal regulations on school transport
(…) School transportation is available to elementary school students in the municipality of Mamer. Early childhood education students are not eligible for school transportation. Children in Cycle 1 must be picked up at the bus stop by a responsible adult. Children in Cycle 1 who are not picked up at the bus stop will automatically be taken to the appropriate after-school care center. Parents will be notified by the accompanying staff. (…)
