Youth Work
In collaboration with Youth & Work, the commune of Mamer supports young people in their search for employment and training. Youth & Work accompanies young people up to the age of 29 until they have found an orientation, training or job. Participation is free and voluntary.
Unemployment can affect every young person. Once unemployed, a vicious circle begins. No job without work experience and no diploma – no work experience without a job. No wonder so many young people are unemployed while looking for work.
The young people of the commune of Mamer had sent in countless applications and generally received no response.
Together with the coach, they identify their personal and professional capabilities and find solutions and opportunities that suit them. Even after a long period of unemployment, finding a job is possible.
The current youth unemployment rate in Luxembourg is 20%, which also affects the commune of Mamer. In all, Youth & Work has supported over 3,000 young people throughout the country to date.
To achieve this, Youth & Work works closely with companies, organizations and chambers.
