Inauguration of the New SICA Resource Center

The new SICA Resource Center was inaugurated in Kehlen in the presence of Serge Wilmes, as well as representatives from the eight member municipalities.

“We want to continue to play a pioneering role today and demonstrate what modern, forward-looking waste and resource management can look like,” emphasized Luc Feller in his capacity as president of SICA.

Larger and more modern, the new center is designed to meet the needs of the approximately 46,000 residents served by the association. It places greater emphasis on prevention, reuse, repair, and public awareness.

New features include a “Recyclage-Buttek” covering more than 160 m², a future “Repairatelier,” an educational room for school classes, and new offices for the administration and staff.

The public will be able to explore the new facilities during the “Portes Ouvertes Luxembourg” event on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
