The Youth Centre Mamer opened its doors on May 4, 2009.

Since September 1, 2011, it has been located in the former Henri Trauffler school in the center of Mamer. This is an open youth center. All young people, aged 12 to 26, are welcome.

At the youth center, young people have plenty of opportunities to organize their own free time. Whether it’s kicker, board games, darts, table tennis, air-hockey, reading, … The Maison des Jeunes also has a fully-equipped rehearsal room, which is available to young musicians free of charge.

Every month, the Maison des Jeunes publishes a program of activities in which everyone can take part.

The managers also implement the young people’s proposals and choose activities for all ages: sports activities, creative activities, tournaments, museum and theater visits, as well as culinary activities.

During the vacations, the center always offers an additional program, including excursions, short trips and even, once a year, a summer camp.

The center’s educators always try to listen to young people’s questions and concerns.

So it goes without saying that they help them with their homework, finding a job and solving more personal problems. In the Maison des Jeunes, a small bistro has been set up, which is run by the young people.

Soft drinks and prepared snacks are available at affordable prices.
