The performances of 329 athletes, including 184 youngsters, were honoured at the Sports Awards ceremony held in the large auditorium of the Kinneksbond cultural centre.
Organised by the Commission for Sports and Leisure, in collaboration with the College of Aldermen, the deserving sportsmen and women, who are either members of a club in Mamer or live in the municipality, were congratulated on stage for the results they have achieved in recent months.
Acting mayor Roger Negri, Alderman Luc Feller and Alderwoman Francine Closener presented the winners with a gift, while Marc Feltgen, member of the Commission for Sports and Leisure, presented the winners with their awards.
The ceremony was enhanced by a performance from the Renée Niro Dance School.
