New Year’s reception with personal honours

Every year, the Commune de Mamer’s New Year reception at the Kinneksbond cultural center is also an opportunity to honor long-standing collaborators.

Claude Lentz (administration), Claude Freytag and Bernd Eller (technical services), Sandy Dauphin, Leslie Pezzoli, Françoise Weydert, Gast Greiveldinger and Gast Weydert (school staff), Bob Weber (school transport) and Michèle Bernard and Claudine Scharfe-Tasch (advisory committees) were presented with gifts in recognition of their 20 years of loyal service to the community.

With best wishes for their next stage in life, Marie-Claire Jacobs (administration) and Claude de la Hamette (stage management) were admitted to a well-deserved retirement.

A big thank you was extended to Georges Decker, who for many years organized the local music school and is now enjoying his retirement.

Mayor Luc Feller and aldermen Roger Negri, Ed Buchette and Francine Closener congratulated the honorees and thanked them for their excellent work and commitment to the community. In his speech, Burgomaster Luc Feller spoke of the major projects currently underway or planned in the municipality.
