Discovering the world of bees

Around 250 pupils from the local primary schools– nine classes from Mamer and five classes from Capellen in cycle 3 – took part in this year’s traditional Bee Day. For a total of three days, the children learned a great deal about these useful insects and their important role in nature. In particular, they discovered life inside a beehive, took part in workshops and, as part of this, had the opportunity to produce honey gummi bears or learn how to cook with honey.
The students were accompanied by teachers and the Vivarium team. The atmosphere was great, and the students showed great commitment and curiosity.
Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, along with representatives of the regional school board, also visited the various workshops and expressed their satisfaction with the children’s interest in nature.
