‘Bee Day’ at the Kinneksbond fundamental school in Mamer

Around 170 cycle 3 pupils from Kinneksbond fundamental school in Mamer and 90 children from Capellen school took part in Beiendag (Bee Day) 2024.

Over the course of an entire morning, the children learned a great deal about these useful insects and their important role in nature. For example, they were able to discover the inner life of a beehive. They also learned why bee cells are hexagonal, made wax candles and baked honey muffins.

Mayor Luc Feller and Alderman Ed Buchette visited the various workshops and held discussions with the experts and the youngsters.
