The ladies of VC Mamer successfully defended their Luxembourg Cup title with a 3-0 (25:19, 25:19, 25:23) victory over Walferdange.
At the Centre Atert in Bertrange, under the gaze of Sports Minister Georges Mischo, Mayor Luc Feller, Alderman Ed Buchette and members of the local council, they asserted their ambitions from the outset. Only the third set was tense, but in a very tight final, Mamer showed more composure and a better performance in the decisive moments.
The Mamer fans in the stands gave their team their unstinting support from the first minute to the last. Mayor Luc Feller and Alderman Ed Buchette, accompanied by Sports Minister Georges Mischo, were visibly proud as they presented the winners with their medals and the cup.
