The local branch of the Red Cross presents a cheque

As part of its general meeting, the Mamer-Cap-Holzem section of the Red Cross presented a cheque for 12,500 euros to the Luxembourg Red Cross.

This amount comes from several solidarity actions organized during the year, including the Charity Dinner with the Cultural Affairs Commission, the herring evening in Holzem, the sale of waffles during the Sports Night, as well as proceeds from the Christmas Market and Winter Moments.

The funds support material and food aid for people in need, as well as the Social Helpline, a free listening and referral service.

Mayor Luc Feller, accompanied by aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, praised the section’s commitment to helping the most vulnerable.
