Around 200 new residents found their way to the Mamer Schlass village hall to take part in the village’s Welcome Party.
Mayor Luc Feller, accompanied by aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, alderwoman Francine Closener and members of the municipal council, expressed his delight that so many young households are coming to live in the commune of Mamer. He underlinedthe solidarity, the high number of active associations, the diverse cultural offer, the social cohesion and the dynamism within the commune. Luc Feller also explained the new infrastructure in the commune, including the Maison Relais, the school swimming pool and the UGDA regional music school on the Kinneksbond campus.
During the reception that followed, the new residents had theopportunity tolearn more about the running of the commune and life in Mamer from the heads of municipal services and representatives of various associations.
