The St. Nicholas market at Capellen’s fundamental school was a hive of activity. The organizers had concocted a varied program for the event. For example, the most beautiful little Christmas tree was elected. Children could take part in craft workshops. Visitors could also do a good deed by helping to decorate the Telethon Christmas tree.
And of course, St. Nicholas and his companion, the bogeyman, didn’t miss the opportunity to spoil the schoolchildren. As a token of their thanks, the pupils gave the Holy Man a beautiful concert.
Alderman Ed Buchette also celebrated with the children and their parents. The atmosphere was excellent, and more than a few of them left immersed in the magic of Christmas.
