Spring cleaning in the commune

Some 370 private individuals and members of local associations took part in the clean-up operation in Mamer, Capellen and Holzem. Among them was Finance Minister and former Mayor Gilles Roth, who didn’t hesitate to lend a hand.

This year, an exceptional number of families took part. Collection materials were provided by the Commission for Energy Transition, Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development, which organized the event.

At lunchtime, the hot soup and side dishes served in the technical services building were perfect for coping with the icy weather.

In recognition of this commitment, Mayor Luc Feller, Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, and Alderwoman Francine Closener, accompanied by members of the local council, expressed their delight at the voluntary participation of so many citizens, who have thus contributed to preserving nature in their municipality.
