Smart Café – A digital bridge between generations

At the Mamer Schlass, another edition of the Smart Café once again demonstrated how enriching dialogue between the generations can be.

Under the coordination of the non-profit organization GoldenMe Luxembourg, young volunteers from the Maison des Jeunes patiently and enthusiastically guided seniors through the use of their cell phones, tablets and laptops.

The seniors appreciated this invaluable help, and were impressed by the young people’s mastery of and confidence in digital tools. For the latter, it was also a great experience of sharing, rewarded by the recognition and gratitude of the participants.

The Smart Café is much more than a technology workshop: it’s a place for exchange and mutual respect between generations. Organized by the Commission for Family and Third Age, other events are already scheduled for the coming months.
