Pupils plant hedges for National Tree Day

As part of National Tree Day 2024, around 120 cycle 3 children from the basic schools in Mamer and Capellen planted hedges in the Bambësch forest between Mamer and Holzem. They were assisted in this task by forest ranger Fabrice Reuland and his workers.

Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, along with members of the local council, visited the pupils and expressed their delight at their great commitment.

But the children didn’t just learn how to plant a hedge. They also learned important information about nature conservation from the experts.
