Opening of the Winter Moments 2024

Under a magnificent winter sky, a large audience gathered for the opening of Winter Moments 2024 in Mamer. From the afternoon onwards, the atmosphere was lively on the ice rink and on the Place de l’Indépendance with the Christmas Market.

Behind the Mamer Schlass, Mayor Luc Feller, accompanied by Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette and members of the Municipal Council, kicked off the festive season by solemnly lighting up the large Christmas tree.

On the stage of the Christmas Market, the Mayor invited visitors to take full advantage of the many Winter Moments events that will be taking place over the coming weeks.

Even after the two weekends of the Christmas Market, the festivities will continue with a variety of attractions: the ice rink, the winter bar and convivial evenings in the Alpine chalet.

The official opening was also marked by the presence of the Minister of Finance, Gilles Roth, who was invited up on stage to join his former colleagues on the Local Council in activating the buzzer to set off the illuminations on the Place de l’Indépendance.
