Music celebration in Mamer

The Fête de la Musique under the Skyliner in Mamer was once again a great success at Place de l’Indépendance. No fewer than 19 musical groups ensured a festive atmosphere throughout the three-day event. The festivities got off to a flying start with a concert featuring some 100 cycle 3 pupils from the Mamer and Capellen schools. Right from the start, the square in front of the church was packed to the rafters.

The second day, dedicated to Cuban rhythms, attracted an equally large crowd. The spectacular “Sons of Buena Vista” concert set the stage alight, preceded by a number of groups and singers who created a real festival atmosphere in Independence Square.

The party continued on the third day, with a program as dynamic as ever. The Newcomer Stage, set up at the entrance to the square, also attracted a large audience. Special mention should be made of the tea dance organized at the Centre intégré pour personnes âgées, which was a great success.

The Fête de la Musique drew to a close with an energetic concert by Luxembourg band “Dream Catcher”, accompanied by “The Big Gang Theory”, bringing to a close three memorable days of musical celebration.
