Helping birds in winter by building nest boxes

More than 40 people, including many teenagers from the local Youth Centre, made their way to Wanterbar in Mamer to build nesting boxes together with representatives from the Commission for Energy Transition, Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development.

Many of the participants were children. Alderman Ed Buchette, who also chairs the commission, took part as well.

People could take the various parts of the nesting box from boxes and assemble them themselves. In the process, they were able to call on the expert help of members of the commission.

The event was a great success. A total of 35 nesting boxes were assembled.
