The Brill Park was packed to the rafters to watch the European Football Championship final between Spain and England live on the giant screen set up on the Summer Events stage.
The atmosphere was euphoric, especially among the Spanish fans, who were clearly in the majority.
Mayor Luc Feller, Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette and members of the Communal Council were also in the audience.
As we all know, in the end it was the Spanish team‘ s supporters who were able to celebrate, and who were congratulated by England ‘s supporters in a very fair manner.
