Eric Lamhène’s film “Hors d’Haleine”, screened at Château de Mamer during Orange Week, attracted a large audience, including several members of the local council. The film tells the story of Emma, who leaves behind her ordered life to take refuge in a shelter for women in distress.
After the screening, the Commission for the Equality of Opportunities and Maison Citoyenne organized a round table discussion on domestic violence. Interest was high, and many questions were asked. Experts Eric Lamhène (director of the film), Esperanza Martin González-Quevedo (actress in the film and victim of domestic violence), Julie Schonne (assistant at LOG-in) and Christopher Witry (Ministry for Gender Equality and Diversity), were able to pass on a wealth of information to the audience, raising awareness of the issue.
