Discovering local birds

The Commission for Energy Transition, Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development organized two walks in the local forests as part of its “A day in nature” initiative.

During the walks, which last around two hours, participants learn a great deal about the country’s native birds.

Raoul Mettenhoven, ornithologist with natur&ëmwelt, shared a wealth of interesting information about birds with the 30 or so participants in the first walk. Before setting off, small booklets with photos, names and descriptions of the birds were handed out.

The municipality was represented by the alderman and chairman of the commission, Ed Buchette, as well as by members of the local council, who also took part in this instructive walk.
