Cinema under the stars in Brill Park

The first weekend of open-air cinema, organized by the Youth Commission in Brill Park in collaboration with Sunset Cinema, was a great success.

The Lion King and Mama Mia were shown on the big screen, preceded by short films from the Film Fund and animated features.

The 300 seats were filled on both evenings, while other spectators took to the lawn. The first evening, in fine weather, attracted a large number of families.

The following day, despite the pouring rain, the audience stayed until the final credits, including Mayor Luc Feller and Alderman Ed Buchett.

Drinks were served by the Youth Commission, and a foodtruck rounded out the offerings beyond the traditional popcorn.
