In the run-up to December 6, Saint Nicolas and the Whipping Father made a stopover at Mamer’s pre-school and nursery school, following their visit to Capellen the day before.
The children, prepared with the help of their educational team, welcomed the visitors with crafts, songs and drawings. Mayor Luc Feller, alderman Ed Buchette, school board president Nadine Schmid and members of the SIT were also present.
True to tradition, Saint Nicholas consulted his ledger of children’s behavior, causing a few heartbeats – but in the end, no rods were handed out.
