Bëschschoul – Learning in the heart of nature

On the Drëps site, the forestry school (“Bëschschoul”) was inaugurated.

The principle is simple: leave the classroom and immerse yourself in nature. For a few mornings each week, several upper-cycle classes, under the direction of Claude Greiveldinger, discover a nature-based pedagogy.

According to mayor Luc Feller – accompanied by aldermen Roger Negri, Ed Buchette and alderwoman Francine Closener at the inauguration – the Bëschschoul marks a new stage in the educational approach offered to the municipality’s pupils.

This type of pedagogy, based on experience and respect for nature, not only supports learning processes, but also encourages autonomy, cooperation and creativity, explained Claude Greiveldinger, head of the Bëschoul.
