Shortly before the Carnival vacations, four pupils from cycle 4.2 in Mamer, supported by their classmates, presented a cheque for €1,061.88 to the Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation.
During the summer, the girls had, on their own initiative, made bracelets and decorations, which they sold at the school fête and privately, to raise money for a good cause. They raised €561.88.
But their commitment didn’t stop there: Amélie, Lara, Maëlys and Marie also sent a handwritten letter to the Collège échevinal presenting their project, and the Collège added the sum of €500.
Mateusz Buraczyk, representative of the Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation, came to the school during class to receive the cheque, express his sincere thanks and explain to the whole class the important work the Foundation does for children and teenagers with cancer, and their families.
