The Senioren Amicale’s Journée du Grand Âge, held in the Mamer Schlass festival hall, was well attended.
This year, some twenty senior citizens aged between 70 and 95 were honored. Mayor Luc Feller and Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, accompanied by members of the local council, were also on hand to congratulate the jubilarians.
In a convivial atmosphere, the President of the Senioren Amicale, Bruno Mergen, announced that on the occasion of the association’s 20ᵉ anniversary, scheduled for 2026, a river cruise would be organized on the Danube, from Passau to Budapest.
Keen to promote good relations between all generations, the Collège échevinal, through the voice of Burgomaster Luc Feller, recalled the services available to senior citizens and announced that a “Seniors’ Week” would be held later in the year.
As usual, the tombola was a great success, so that no-one left empty-handed.
