6. Festival of Inclusion

For people with special needs, inclusive measures are a necessity if they are to participate fully in social life. However, all citizens benefit from these measures, which provide additional comfort and safety in everyday life.

The Inclusion Festival, organised for the sixth time by the Maison Citoyenne de la Commune de Mamer in collaboration with the Commission pour l’Inclusion Sociale, provided a concrete illustration of this concept. On the Kinneksbond site, various workshops were offered by organisations active in the social field.

Mayor Luc Feller, Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette and Alderwoman Francine Closener showed a keen interest in these initiatives by carefully visiting each of the workshops.

Before the official opening of the festivities, the municipality was pleased to reward the commitment of the seven participating organisations by presenting them with a cheque for 500 euros each. This symbolic gesture was in recognition of their essential contribution to the social field.
