The Third Age celebrated in Holzem

The Holzem village hall was packed for the Journée du Grand Âge, organized each year by the Senioren Amicale Mameranus. Once again, participants enjoyed an afternoon of drinks and cake. A well-stocked tombola was also on offer.

But it was also a time for celebration: in the course of the afternoon, 30 jubilarians were honored. Among them were alderman Ed Buchette and Amicale president Bruno Mergen.

Donations were also made to SOS Détresse and the Association Thérapie Equestre.

The municipality was represented at this festive event by Mayor Luc Feller, Alderman Ed Buchette and members of the local council. In his speech, the mayor stressed the importance of harmonious cohabitation between the generations, and praised the initiatives of the Senioren Amicale Mameranus. He also explained the many services available to senior citizens. For his part, the president of the Amicale wished all the jubilarians a happy birthday and highlighted the good collaboration with the municipality.
