Opening of the “Contrast” exhibition in Brill Park

Organized as part of the MAM Art Festival, the “Contrasts” exhibition by artist Iva Mrazkova, on view until September in Brill Park, features steel sculptures playing on contrasts of material, light and environment.

Mayor Luc Feller, flanked by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, H.E. Mrs. Barbara Karpetová, Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, and members of the local council, recalled that Iva Mrazkova is no stranger to Mamer, having already taught art classes at the municipal school.

He stressed that art should not be confined to museums and exhibition halls, but should also find its place in the public space. This is already the third exhibition of its kind to be held in Mamer, under the impetus of the cultural commission and its president Lydie Bintener.

Iva Mrazkova, who has lived and worked in Luxembourg since 1989, took the opportunity to present her work to the public, explaining the ideas behind it and the materials used.
