To mark World Menopause Day, the Mamer Schlass hosted the play “Game Ovaries”, a humorous, sensitive and light-hearted take on a subject that is all too often ignored.
Nearly 150 people, mostly women, attended the performance, which was both entertaining and enriching.
Through scenes from everyday life, the play highlighted the emotions, doubts and challenges faced by women during this period of transition.
Organized by the Commission for Family and Third Age in collaboration with Club Haus Am Brill, the performance was followed by a talk by Diane Elsen, certified menopause coach. She shed a sympathetic light on the physical and emotional changes associated with this stage of life, while encouraging an open, taboo-free dialogue on menopause.
