Schoolchildren learn to produce “Viz”

At the traditional “Apeldag”, around 70 children from five classes in cycle 2.2 at the fundamental schools in Mamer and Capellen were able to make their own apple juice. They also learned a lot of interesting things about this appetizing fruit.

The pressed apples all came from a natur&ëmwelt orchard near the school. A total of 500 kilos of apples were processed. The students were supervised by school staff and members of the local natur&ëmwelt section.

The children were very committed, sorting, cutting, crushing and pressing the apples with great dedication. As a thank-you, each pupil received a bottle of delicious apple juice.
