Orange Week 2023 launch evening

This year, the Conseil national des Femmes (CNFL) and the Luxembourg section of Zonta International organized the launch evening of Orange Week against all forms of violence against women and girls in the Mamer Schlass village hall.

Between now and 10th of December, a number of events will be taking place across the country as part of the ‘Lët’z say NO to violence against women’ fortnight to draw attention to this social problem, which is still regarded as taboo.

The message of the evening was clear: never look away, but speak out.

With the aim of advancing equality and respect between the sexes, in 2020 the Commune of Mamer created the Maison Citoyenne, where projects and awareness campaigns are implemented in collaboration with the Commissions for Equal Opportunities and Social Inclusion.
