The Mamer Schlass community hall was packed for the traditional Welcome Festival hosted by the Municipality of Mamer.
Mayor Luc Feller, accompanied by Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, Alderwoman Francine Closener, and members of the municipal council, warmly welcomed the new residents. In his speech, he introduced the municipality and provided an overview of major projects currently underway and planned for the future. He also emphasized the importance of community life and social cohesion. He noted that it is in this context that the participatory budget is organized to involve citizens in the planning and development of the municipality in which they live. The municipality is doing everything it can to offer its citizens the best possible quality of life, Luc Feller emphasized. The mayor also expressed his delight at seeing so many young families settling in the municipality. More than 11,800 people, representing 106 different nationalities, currently live in the municipality of Mamer.
At the reception that followed, the new residents had the opportunity to learn about the town and life in Mamer from municipal officials, representatives of local organizations, and elected officials. The atmosphere was excellent throughout the evening, and everyone was all smiles.
