Visit by the President of the Czech Republic to the EEL2 Mamer/Bertrange

As part of his State visit to Luxembourg, the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, and his wife Eva Pavlova, accompanied by the Grand Ducal couple, also visited the EEL2 European School in Mamer/Bertrange.

In addition to Minister of Education Claude Meisch, Mayor Luc Feller and Mayor of Bertrange Monique Smit-Thijs, accompanied by school headmaster Maurice van Daal, welcomed the guests in front of the school building.

In the village hall, visitors were given a presentation of the range of EEL schools on offer, accompanied by a musical performance by a group of Czech pupils. In addition, around a hundred pupils of Czech origin had the opportunity to meet the presidential couple as well as Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa.
