The town celebrates volunteerism

Once again this year, the municipality of Mamer invited leaders of local organizations to the now-traditional Volunteer Festival. When the approximately 240 guests arrived in the early evening under the Skyliner on Independence Square, it was still quite warm, so a cold drink was most welcome. The atmosphere was excellent. There was plenty of conversation and laughter.
Mayor Luc Feller, Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, Alderwoman Francine Closener, and members of the municipal council also made the trip to the Skyliner to celebrate volunteerism with local clubs.
In his speech, the mayor emphasized the importance of community organizations within the municipality. “In Mamer, the clubs are very committed and dynamic,” he said. “They are an essential pillar of social cohesion, integration, and a vibrant community life.” That is why many projects will continue to be carried out with and for these organizations. Luc Feller thanked the clubs and announced that close cooperation with them would continue.
The evening ended in a friendly atmosphere.
