The non-profit organization “Sauvons Bambi Lëtzebuerg” is active in the commune of Mamer.

The association “Sauvons Bambi Lëtzebuerg”, which is already active in the commune of Mamer, had organized an information meeting at the Mamer Schlass to present its work and recruit additional volunteers. The mission of this non-profit organization is to protect animals, particularly fawns, which retreat to meadows and fields in spring and risk being mutilated by agricultural machinery during the mowing season.

In consultation with farmers, the members of “Sauvons Bambi Lëtzebuerg” fly over the fields with a drone equipped with a thermal camera to locate the animals and bring them to safety, before the farm machinery passes. In 2023, 428 fawns were saved from certain death in the Belgian border region and in Luxembourg.

To be able to continue its work, “Sauvons Bambi Lëtzebuerg” is looking for new volunteers, who will be trained by the association. Interested parties can find out more at www.sauvonsbambi.lu or send an e-mail to contact@sauvonsbambi.lu.
