This marked the 11th year that the large night market had been held on and around Place de l’Indépendance in Mamer. And once again, the event was a great success. Numerous flea market and information stalls welcomed visitors. There was something for everyone: culinary specialities, home décor items, toys and second-hand goods attracted a crowd from well beyond the municipality of Mamer. This year, food and drink were provided by the Vëlosclub Mamerdall and Café Kleng Gemeng.
Throughout the evening, a warm, village-festival atmosphere reigned over the square. In keeping with tradition, the Haemelmaus Trio provided the entertainment and helped create a wonderful musical atmosphere. Many visitors took to the dance floor.
Mayor Luc Feller, aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, as well as several members of the municipal council, also took part in this convivial evening.
