With the “Aktioun Päiperlek” (Butterfly Action), the nature protection union SICONA and the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle are drawing attention to the threat of butterfly extinction.
Under the title “Maacht mat!” (Get involved!), a joint species protection campaign has been launched to identify butterflies in our regions. Everyone can take part!
Here’s how it works:
- Download the attached leaflet as a visual aid to identifying butterfly species.
- Download the iNaturalist application onto a smartphone, create an account and take photos of your butterfly observations.
- These observations will be evaluated at the end of the year, and the results published.
