National Day festivities kick off in Holzem and Capellen

The festivities for National Day 2024 were launched in Holzem and Capellen, each with a Te Deum in the church, followed by a reception for citizens and associations.

In his speeches at the village hall in Holzem and the cultural centre in Capellen, Mayor Luc Feller, surrounded by Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette and Alderwoman Francine Closener, as well as members of the local council, spoke of the unity of the people of Luxembourg and the great strength of the diversity of nationalities that is specific to Luxembourg and the Commune of Mamer.

Before the convivial part of the evening began, the national anthem ‘Heemecht’ was sung by all.
