International Women’s Day walk

A large number of people took part in the walk organised by the Commission for Equal Opportunities in Mamer to mark International Women’s Day.

The motto of the walk, which included an interactive quiz along the way, was ‘Women make a difference’, and this year it took in the Bambësch.

The traditional ‘Bouneschlupp’ (bean soup) was served at the Mamer Schlass. On this occasion, Mayor Luc Feller, together with Vanessa Tarantini, President of the Commission, recalled the efforts and actions that have already been undertaken or are underway in the municipality to promote equal opportunities and the cause of women.

Both emphasised that the challenges remain considerable.
