Equality project week in fundamental schools

The fourth edition of the ‘MaMer Égalité’ project week, organised by Maison Citoyenne in collaboration with the Ministry for Gender Equality and Diversity, ended yesterday in the fundamental schools of Mamer and Capellen.

Twenty-four classes from cycles 2.2, 3.2, 4.1 and 4.2 took part in thirty-six workshops, all focusing on challenging gender prejudices and promoting inclusion and mutual respect.

Alderman Roger Negri and Nadine Schmid, President of the School Commission, also toured the classes to see how the children had been made aware of the delicate subjects of equal opportunities and the still persistent stereotypes between men and women.
