Club Haus Am Brill has now found a new home in the René Federspiel Building, in the center of Mamer. The former “Blo Schoul” was renovated by the municipality and adapted to meet the needs of Club Haus.
At the inauguration, Liliane Frising, president of Foyers Seniors asbl, recounted the organization’s evolution since 2008—first as a branch of the Club Haus Am Becheler in Walferdange, then as an independent entity since 2021, following the signing in 2016 of an agreement with the Municipality of Mamer and the Ministry of Family Affairs.
Mayor Luc Feller, accompanied by Alderman Roger Negri, Alderwoman Francine Closener, and members of the municipal council, praised the variety of activities offered primarily to people over 50 and the role of Club Haus in the municipality’s policy to promote participation in social life.
Minister Max Hahn emphasized its importance for active aging, social interaction, continuing education, and intergenerational exchange. Director Carole Becker presented the center’s activities before a video screening and a tour of the new facilities.
