“Alles op Vëlo” as popular as ever

The popularity of the “Alles op Vëlo” event was confirmed at its 2nd edition, organized by the communes of Mamer, Kopstal and Mersch. As in previous years, the CR101 between Mamer and Mersch, with stages in Kopstal and Schoenfels, was closed to motorized traffic all day.

Many families, as well as senior citizens, enjoyed the cycling and walking routes, as well as the varied program of food and entertainment at the various stop-off points.

This edition also marked the launch of the “Vëlossummer”, in the presence of Minister Delegate for Tourism Eric Thill. In Mamer, start and finish were located near the water treatment plant.

Catering was provided by local associations BBC Mambra, FC Mamer 32, VC Mamer and Trispeed.

New this year: the “Bach on Bike” initiative of the Association Bach Luxembourg with touring concerts, including a stop at the historic Roman baths, with the support of the Commission des Affaires Culturelles de Mamer.
