The ‘Alles op de Vëlo’ initiative, organised by the municipalities of Mamer, Mersch and Kopstal, is enjoying growing success. For the 2026 edition, a huge number of cyclists once again took a ride along the CR101 between Mamer and Mersch, via Kopstal and Schoenfels. To ensure the safety of participants, the road was completely closed to motorised traffic throughout the day.
Beyond the sporting aspect, participants were also able to enjoy a varied programme of entertainment. As part of the event, the Bach Vereenegung Lëtzebuerg (BVL) organised the ‘Bach on Bike’ musical cycle ride. The musicians stopped at several locations, including Mamer, where they gave a concert for the public. Their performance at the former thermal baths in Mamer, organised by the Commission for Cultural Affairs, attracted a large audience.
Mayor Luc Feller, aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette, alderwoman Francine Closener, and several members of the municipal council also took part in ‘Alles op de Vëlo’. In Mamer, the start and finish were located at the wastewater treatment plant, where several information stands had been set up. Cyclists who experienced a breakdown were also able to have their bikes repaired free of charge by experts from Lombardi Sports. As for catering, the local clubs BBC Mambra, Trispeed, FC Mamer 32 and VC Mamer once again provided the service.
