It has become a tradition. As part of Mobility Week, the Mobility Commission once again this year recognized people who use public transportation.
At nine locations throughout the municipality (Mamer train station, Rue de Bertrange—bike path, Mamer Mameranus, Mamer Centre, Mamer Mambra, Capellen train station, Capellen Klouschter, Capellen Police, and Holzem Festsall), committee members handed out Fairtrade croissants early in the morning to bus and train passengers.
The event was a huge success: all 500 croissants were gone in no time. People waiting at bus stops and riding on bike paths enjoyed this little morning surprise. It was a great way to start the day while promoting sustainable transportation.
