280 participants take part in the Grouss Botz

Bad weather did not stop some 280 private individuals and members of local associations from taking part in the spring clean-up in Mamer, Capellen and Holzem.

Finance Minister Gilles Roth, in his capacity as former mayor, also helped out..

Around 500 kilos of rubbish were collected along roads, forest tracks and country lanes.

Mayor Luc Feller, accompanied by Aldermen Roger Negri and Ed Buchette and members of the local council, thanked the many residents who had volunteered to help preserve nature in their municipality.

The spring clean-up was organised by the Commission for Energy Transition, Environment and Sustainable Development.
