A visually enchanting show that brings an everyday material to life: polystyrene!

In Materia, Italian circus artist Andrea Salustri sublimates polystyrene – that ubiquitous plastic by-product – and turns it into a fully-fledged partner in play. Throughout this singular choreographic score, the performer gradually fades into the background, making way for the object and an immersive, hypnotic sensory exploration.

Under the amazed gazes of young and old alike, the material comes alive, floats and vibrates, oscillating between delicate hesitations and dynamic movements that combine serenity and chaos. The piece imposes no narrative – on the contrary, it invites everyone to let their imagination wander, guided by the bewitching images that open up.
