Pedro

Pedro is the story of Beatriz and José Manuel, an actress and actor from telenovelas, who take us on a flamboyant fictional journey where the boundaries between reality and imagination become blurred.
After J.C.which questioned our relationship with money, and Célineour refusal of death, Juliette Navis signs with Pedro the third part of a trilogy devoted to pop culture. This time, the director combines the kitschy, acidic outrageousness of Pedro Almodóvar’s films with the teeming imagination of books by Ursula K. Le Guin, the American science-fiction goddess. Laure Mathis and Douglas Grauwels, performers in the two previous solos, bring to life, with verve, poetry and a delicious Spanish accent, two characters who confront us with the paradoxes of pleasure, sexuality and intimacy in a world that pushes us to expose ourselves in order to exist. A quest for a fragile balance: the right distance between self and other.
