Communal school transport
The school transport service is intended exclusively for children attending pre-school or basic education in the commune. Use of school transport requires prior registration with the municipal school service.
On the Pédibus route, the “Schoulwee” logo is visible on the ground, and the school bus logo is displayed at bus stops.
The Pedibus
The Pedibus offers schoolchildren the chance to walk to and from school. Children wait for the pedibus at the agreed meeting point (stop), and walk with it to school. Along the way, the pedibus picks up children who join the convoy at various stops. On the pedibus route, the “Schoulwee” logo is marked on the ground.
School buses
Our school buses take pupils to and from school at set times. The different routes are clearly marked with animal images. So there’s no confusion around bus stops, and the risk of getting on the wrong bus is minimal. All bus trips are accompanied by an adult.
Communal regulations on school transport
(…) School transport is intended for pupils at the primary school in the municipality of Mamer. Pupils in early education are not eligible for school transport. Cycle 1 children must be collected from the bus stop by a responsible adult. Cycle 1 children who are not collected from the bus stop will be taken automatically to the appropriate halfway house.
