The Pedibus
The Pedibus offers schoolchildren the chance to walk to and from school. Children wait for the Pedibus at the agreed meeting point (stop), and walk with it to school. Along the way, the Pedibus picks up children who join the convoy at the various stops. The “Schoulwee” logo is marked on the ground along the route.
The school bus
Our school buses take pupils to and from school at set times. The different routes are clearly marked with images of animals, so there’s no confusion around bus stops and little risk of getting on the wrong bus. All bus journeys are accompanied by an adult.
Communal regulations on school transport
(…) School transport is intended for pupils at the primary school in the municipality of Mamer. Pupils in early education are not eligible for school transport. Cycle 1 children must be collected from the bus stop by a responsible adult. Cycle 1 children who are not collected from the bus stop will be taken automatically to the appropriate halfway house.
